Subject: 18694 Auxilary Police/Several Date: Mon, 27 Feb 1989 12:20:00 -0500 RESOLUTION NO. 18694 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE APPOINTMENT OF CERTAIN INDIVIDUALS HEREIN DESCRIBED AS SPECIAL POLICEMEN FOR THE CHATTANOOGA AUXILIARY POLICE CORPS., TO DO SPECIAL DUTY AS PRESCRIBED HEREIN, SUBJECT TO CERTAIN CONDITIONS. _____________________ BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Steven D. Lunn, James L. Trotter, Alison P. Swinney, Ronnie Cramer, Roy L. McGill, and Bruce T. Doubeck be and are hereby appointed as special policemen for the Chattanooga Auxiliary Police Corps., subject to certain conditions and restrictions: 1. That said special policemen shall have, possess and exercise every power granted by the statutes of the State of Tennessee or the City of Chattanooga to regular police officers of the City of Chattanooga necessary in the performance of their duties. Such powers and performance of duties by said special policemen are expressly limited to the performance of duties with the Chattanooga Auxiliary Police Corps. 2. That said special policemen shall not be considered employees of the City, nor shall they be entitled to any benefits afforded regular police officers of the City, and shall in all re- spects be considered employeee of the Chattanooga Auxiliary Police Corps. 0C 3. That such appointments shall expire upon termination of said special policemens' membership in the Chattanooga Auxiliary Police Corps. Notwithstanding any other provision herein, the City Council of the City of Chattanooga shall have the right to cancel such appointment at any time. ADOPTED: 6/19/90 /jrm
